Board of Commissioners

The Board of Commissioners of the Peekskill Housing Authority (PHA) of the City of Peekskill, New York, is composed of five persons duly appointed by the City Manager of the City of Peekskill, each for a five (5) year term. Two tenant commissioners can be elected by the residents of the Housing Authority for the term of two (2) years. All Housing Authority Commissioners volunteer their time and capabilities to the benefit of the organization and to the people served.  Commissioners perform a number of tasks as they conduct the business of the PHA.

The Board of Commissioners of this Housing Authority meet in Regular Monthly Sessions on the third Thursday of each month excluding August and December.  Special Meetings may be held at any time during the year when there is important and timely business to consider.  Meetings of the Board of Commissioners meetings were held at 7:00 PM in alternating Community Rooms at Dunbar Heights 696 Highland Avenue, and Bohlmann Towers 807 Main Street, Peekskill, New York 10566. Currently meetings are the same time, but held via zoom during the COVID Pandemic and until further notice. All meetings are held after Public Notices posted in the Peekskill City Hall, The Field Library, The Journal News, social media and in PHA monthly newsletter and are open to the public.
